Land IQ is one of ten local businesses selected by the City of Sacramento to participate in the third cohort of its Economic Gardening 2.0 program, with the goal of growing local businesses so they can create jobs and bring more diversity to our local economy. The City of Sacramento’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development facilitates this project in cooperation with the National Center for Economic Gardening (NCEG), Berkley Strategy Advisors (BSA), and the California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) Career Center.
Program participants receive expert research, strategy consulting, the opportunity to work with Sacramento State students, as well as matching funds in a form of a grant from the City to help achieve future growth.
Land IQ has grown organically over the life of our company on the foundation of quality work and scientific/technology innovation. However, we have not intentionally analyzed our business strengths and areas for more intentional growth. We believe there is a lot of opportunity for this and feel this program will help inform our future direction and growth. The implementation of our research and development investments have been successful to date but we look forward to professional guidance on expanding that success while maintaining our strong company culture – Mica Heilmann, Owner
